Peanut Allergies Showing Up at Earlier Ages"Kids are being exposed to peanuts and having allergic reactions much earlier than they did five or ten years ago," says Wesley Burks, M.D., chief of pediatric allergy and immunology at Duke University Medical Center. In fact, data from a new Duke study published in the journal Pediatrics shows that children are being exposed to peanuts and exhibiting life-threatening allergies at much earlier ages than ever before.
