For Teens, Breakfast Is the Most Important Meal
New research from the University of Minnesota's Project EAT (Eating Among Teens) has found that among a group of 2,200 adolescents, "the daily breakfast eaters tended to gain less weight and have lower body mass index levels... than those who had skipped breakfast."

According to Dianne Neumark-Sztainer, Project EAT's principal investigator, "eating a healthy breakfast may help adolescents avoid overeating later in the day and disrupt unhealthy eating patterns, such as not eating early in the day and eating a lot late in the evening."
